A Message from Jeff... There are times when it is helpful to worship online when unable to attend “in person” worship. The following article by Bob Russell reminds us that there are special values that come from being present for worship if able. Six Reasons Why You Need to Attend Church in Person Written on May 15, 2022 by admin in Uncategorized Since the Covid lockdown, many churchgoers no longer attend worship services regularly, alleging it is easier and less time-consuming to stay home and watch an online service. When confronted, some suggest they have grown beyond the need for in-person worship at a local congregation, claiming they get as much fulfillment when viewing a service online. Others rationalize that they may even watch two or three different sermons on a Sunday morning. Hebrews 10:24, 25 command, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Admittedly, some contemporary worship services are designed in such a way that it is easier to be a spectator rather than participate in the worship. Regardless of the worship style, here are six reasons why Christ-followers should attend worship in person:

The pictorial directories have arrived. If you had your photo taken or you submitted your photo, please pick up your directory at the Welcome Center or you can stop by the office during the week. Thank You Thank you for participating in the Jr./Sr. High Bake Sale last week. We were able to raise $1,302 to help the Ukraine relief through Team Expansion. We are also thankful that the BCC Missions Team is contributing $1,000 bringing the total donation to $2,302. "Christmas in July" Be sure to mark your calendars for July 9. The Children's Ministry is hosting this FREE family event - there will be a time of music, teaching, and break-out craft sessions followed by lunch being served and a special treat. Please begin inviting others to join your family in the day's events. Pre-Registration will begin June 5 and run through July 1, pick up registration forms at the Gathering Area or you can contact Alisha to sign up. We are still in need of volunteers for the event. If you are able to help in any way, please contact Alisha or pick up a volunteer form at the Gathering Area.
