A Message from Jeff
Last Sunday we focused on Missions and our church’s project to build a home in Haiti for the Presendieu family. Wasn’t it great to enjoy a fellowship lunch together? Everyone had a good time of conversation and fellowship.
If you missed last week’s message, “Missions Matter,” you can re-visit it (and any previous message) at our website www.batesvillechristianchurch.org. This Sunday the message will focus on the topic of “Making the Most of Our Time.” Read Ephesians 5:15, 16 to prepare.
I am pleased to announce that God is adding to our ministry team at Batesville Christian Church. Beginning in August, Justin Sutherland will become our full-time Worship/Student Minister, dividing duties in overseeing our worship services and building our youth group of 6th-12th graders. Justin has a Master’s degree from Johnson University (TN), plays the guitar and piano, has led teen worship bands at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood and most recently at Bright Christian Church, where we served together.
Justin and his wife, Carli, will provide many great gifts to love others, grow them in faith, and invest in reaching the Batesville community for Christ. We look forward to you meeting them at a Welcome Reception in August after they have moved to Batesville. Cards of welcome and encouragement may be sent to: Justin/Carli Sutherland, 10915 Shaker Point Way, Apt. 7, Harrison, OH 45030.
We appreciate the continuing ministry of Steve McFarland (and his sister Jessica) working with our students during June-August as our Summer Student Minister. We look forward to having them continue the relationships they have formed at BCC.
Don’t miss the free Pizza & Pool Party that BCC is sponsoring on Friday, July 23, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Batesville Memorial Public Pool (108 N. Mulberry St.). Invite your kids, grandchildren, and neighbor kids and their families to attend.
